**What do I do if my child is absent?** Your child's regular and prompt attendance at school is crucial to his/her success. Some classwork can be made up at home. However, we do many learning activities as partner work or in a group situation. This is very difficult to make up at home. Please make getting to school on time a priority for you and your child except in the case of illness or emergency. If your child misses a school day, I will send home all work upon his/her return to school students are expected to make up any missed work. All absences MUST be reported to the office in the morning. Please call 808-727-3000. **How can I contact Mrs. Sparkman** The first thing your child does when he/she enters the classroom is to check his/her P.U.E.O. folder any notes from you should be placed in their P.U.E.O. folder and your child will place it in my blue mailbox tub. I will check the mailbox at the beginning of each day. I will either write you back or give you a phone call. You can also call and leave a voice mail 727-3069. I check my voice mail after school, I will call you back as soon as I can. The last and best way to reach me is via email, [email protected]. I check my email periodically through out the day. Your questions and comments are very important to me. **Can I send something to school to celebrate my child's birthday** You are welcome to send a treat for your child's birthday (plan for 24) students. I prefer something that is quick to eat and clean-up! NO cupcakes, please! Please send a note a day in advance so we can set aside time to eat the treats and celebrate.
